The Annual Mapping of Land Cover and Land Use (MapBiomas) project is an initiative involving a collaborative network of experts in biomes, land uses, remote sensing, GIS and computer science that uses cloud processing and automated classifiers developed and operated from the Google Earth Engine platform to generate a historical series of annual land cover and land use maps.
